The primary responsibility of a search engine is to display those websites which provide the best information, and those which are most popular in top spots using a specified keyword search result.  The way a search engine judges popularity is by the number of websites which link back to yours, hence the importance of not only good content, but Link Popularity.

It's good to have as much Link Popularity right on your home page (usually towards the bottom) as possible, though for certain types of linking such as affiliates, other realtors, or services that you would actually recommend to your visitors, we recommend setting up subpages within your website to hold this linking content.  These pages can be set up using your Page Manager in your Virtual Office.

Be sure to use pertinent anchor text for each link you set up.  Anchor text is the hyperlinked text that people see when viewing your website.  In the case of the link above, the anchor text is the words "Advanced Access Link Popularity Page".

"How can I be added to the Advanced Access Link Popularity Page?"

To be featured in this list, you must send an email to Webmaster@AdvancedAccess.com requesting to be added (the waiting list is currently quite long).  However, BEFORE you send this email, you must make sure that the following criteria is already present in your website (you can see examples of this at http://www.advancedaccess.com/linkpop/):

1. A button linked to a submission form to request an exchange of links -
    
   If you are one of our Classic Package website users, you already have the ability to auto-create a form for this purpose.
    
   
   • Under 'Page Manager' in your Virtual Office, go to your Page Editor and add a page.  Name the new page something easy for you to remember, such as "Link Exchange Request Form".
      
   • Go in to edit the page, click the red-dotted rectangular box on the 2nd toolbar ("Form Functions"), and click "Form Info".
       Under the "Form Template" drop-down menu, select 'Link Popularity'.  From there, type a Subject (this will be the subject for the email you receive when the form is submitted) and your Email address.  Finally, select "None" or a specific list (other than "Automatic") for the Intellicards List to import the contact to (some agents create a list in their Intellicards program called "Link Partners" for their later reference).
       Add at least one method of contacting you (such as email address) somewhere on this new page.
      
   • As your link partners will be providing you with their website Name, URL, and Description, add YOUR website's Name, URL, and Description somewhere on the page as well so that they know what information to add to their own website for creating the link back to yours.  Include a brief introduction, something like "To complete our link exchange, please add the following information to your website to create the link back to mine:".
   
   
2. A button linked to a page or list of pages (such as state names) containing the reciprocal linking information provided by those who filled out the Link Exchange Request form in your website
    
   You can also create this using your Page Editor program, though some people use their Favorite Links program.
