Local Info Makes Your Site READABLE! What message would you like to convey to your clients through your website? Buyers and sellers who are using the Internet to find a real estate professional will most likely choose someone they feel knows the area best. Therefore, if you can show that YOU are an expert in the area by offering meaningful information (including as many photos as possible) of your community, chances are consumers will want to work with you. It's been said that 'Content is King'. To make your website "sticky" (make your visitors stick around!) you should include unique information about your area to attract and capture the consumer's interest. What is good content? Good content is valuable, informative information your web visitors can use in their real estate search. Useful content is good for many reasons. One of the benefits of unique content is that search engines will recognize it and reward your website by moving it up in their ranks. The primary goal for useful content is to show your prospective client that you know the MOST about your area. A great example of useful content is Jerry Keller's website. Visit his site @ www.porterranchhomeseller.com Jerry has used the Virtual Office to transform his site into a valuable community resource for the Porter Ranch area. One great example of customized content is his 'Valley History' page. (If you scroll down the Navigation Bar, the Valley History button is near the end of the list.) The content is interesting and keeps prospective clients reading for more! Jerry owns several websites, and one is an extensive site featuring Porter Ranch and all different aspects of the community. Jerry uses links to golf courses, aerial shots, floor plans, and monthly giveaways to make his site unique and appealing to the website visitor. The message that homebuyers and sellers will receive is that you are an authority for your area and would be a GREAT choice to work with in their next real estate transaction. How can YOU develop specialized content for YOUR website? Good content sells your
product. What is your product? YOU! Visit your Chamber of Commerce website or city/county website to research information about the history or special attractions in your area. Take some of that information and expound upon it in your website. You can always copy and paste the article and keep the byline to give credit to the author of the information. Your "Community Links" section that we provide for you is a good place to begin your research. Photos of YOU with a scenic shot of your community in the background are another great way to identify yourself with your area in a graphic manner for the consumer. Anything you do to create your own unique content will help reinforce the belief that you are the "go to" real estate professional in your area. She goes beyond the call of duty to help me and keep my site maintained properly. She either has the answers to my questions, or she researches until she gets it. I feel that she is a part of my own personal team to help me be successful. Angie is truly worth her weight in gold. The layout and design of my website receives many compliments. Thanks Advanced Access." Yvonne Louise "I just received a comment from a prospective buyer in New Jersey who stumbled across my website while searching the web.
