Interesting Exhibits at the NAR Convention We always enjoy meeting our clients at trade shows and conventions. We appreciate all of you who took the time to stop by and say hello to us during your busy convention schedules. It was wonderful to shake some of your hands and talk about improvements to your website. The highlight of the convention for us was talking to our customers from across the country. Many of you are "old friends" who we've known for years, and others are new clients and friends. Advanced Access exhibits at the National Association of REALTORS® convention each year, as well as attending many state association trade shows. If you don't normally attend your state association trade show or the national convention, we strongly urge you to reconsider next year. The core of the convention includes motivational speakers, training sessions, and special classes that are very informative. Not to mention the show going on with all the vendors exhibiting in the main convention hall. That is always a good time to catch up on new technology, programs, and new companies out there. For those who couldn't attend the convention, or just didn't make it to all of the booths at the trade show, below are a few of the exhibitors who stood out: VisualTour.com - The entire VisualTour team was in New Orleans demonstrating their fantastic VisualTour system. VisualTour provides software to create your own virtual tours. One of their special features is the one-on-one telephone training to ensure that you learn to create your personalized tours as quickly and as easily as possible. Last featured in our Marketing Tips back in January 2002. Give VisualTour a call and ask them about their new pricing structure. MagnetStreet.com - When walking past this exhibit, my eye was drawn to the interesting and colorful magnets displayed around a square booth. Offering magnets with sports calendars, school magnets, rulers, memo boards, and many more choices, all displayed in full color. If you are looking for magnets, try browsing through their website to see what they have to offer! BlueStarCandles.com - Realtor Candles designed by Blue Star Candles are the leader in concept candles, as displayed in their exhibit on the show floor. The candles can have an attractive gift card under each lid for creating a personalized message, and each is ready to help spread warmth and cheer to all who receive them. Check them out! DunbarEventSigns.com - Walking past this booth I encountered a group of people watching a demo of Dunbar's new sign system product line. Dunbar's website is available, although most of the features will be ready in January 2003. All of their contact information, including an order form, is available now and you can give them a call if you have any questions. 888TheSign.com - Proclaimed the world leader in commercial signs, 888-TheSign Inc. was exhibiting at the convention as well. The company appeared to have many different options for their specialized framed signs. View their website for more options. OnTheMoveTrucks.com - Place a moving billboard to advertise your business as well as keep your clients happy! This is an awesome tool that you should look into. Look for more information in the coming weeks in our Marketing Tips! As you can see, between technology, education and marketing tools, there was plenty to do and see at do at NAR in New Orleans this year. In November 2003, why don't you plan to go to San Francisco and attend next year's convention. You owe it to yourself to see what's new and exciting in the real estate industry. Read the following from real estate professionals who are using Advanced Access' Marketing Tips to their advantage: "My URL address is proudly displayed on both my vehicles. During any day, you are all over town, previewing and showing properties. Why not display your URL address on your vehicle? I have increased my client base and hits to my web site by displaying my URL on my vehicle and also my wife's. I am also, working on a plan where my Local Partners display "MY" URL on their service vehicles. It's easy! It's inexpensive! It works! It makes the phone RING and DRIVES more potential Real Estate Clients to your Web Site!" Dan Hill, Realty Executives "When clients call me I usually ask how they heard about me and I actually had someone laugh and say, "we were sitting behind you in traffic one day and were curious, so we looked it up and now we're looking for a new home". Mostly its just a fun conversation starter. Although it does remind me to drive carefully. ;-)" Judy
