Time
to Vote for the Most Impressive AA Website!
One of the topics
discussed in our Advanced
Access forum is both fun and informative. Introduced last month
by one of our valued clients - Gregg
Wiatt, from Prescott Arizona, the
subject is "Who Has the Most Impressive Advanced Access
Website." Greg Wiatt, who has a VERY impressive website
himself, worked extensively on his content and link popularity and
has taken full advantage of the features and options available in
our versatile Classic Package design.
Nominations were made
during the last month by our clients, and the final list of nominees
have been compiled. If you would like to VOTE for the winner, please
click
here. Before voting, if you haven't already, you will have a
chance to view each of the nominees' websites. The winner will
announced in the June 2003 newsletter.
The nominees for the
Most Impressive AA Website work diligently to improve their link
popularity, content and features available to the homebuyer and
seller. As a result of their hard work, they have achieved high
rankings on the search engines and large numbers of unique visitors
each day. Check them out - visiting the nominees' sites may help
you gain some valuable ideas for your OWN website. And then be
sure to vote for the site you consider the most impressive.
Remember to visit the AA
forums for valuable information and advice about how to maximize
your presence on the Internet, gain link popularity, and to share
ideas with your colleagues in real estate.
Changes
in our Domain Pointing Service
What is Domain Pointing? Domain
Pointing is the process of redirecting additional domain name(s) to
your primary domain. For example, if your website resides on the
domain name: www.Johnsellsrealestate.com and you also own
www.JohnDoeRealtor.com, www.JohnDoe.com, and www.Johnisyourman.com,
you can "point" all of the domain names you own to your
primary website address. That way, when the consumer types in any of
the four domain names, they will all be directed to the same
website.
There are a number of benefits to
registering multiple domain names and pointing them to a single
website. One basic reason for multiple domain name pointing is to
have the same domain name with multiple extensions loading the same
site. For example www.JohnDoe.com and www.JohnDoe.biz could both
load the same website. The benefit of this is whether the client
types in the .com or the .biz domain name, they will arrive at the
same website.
Another benefit of registering
multiple domain names is to avoid confusion and/or misspellings of
your domain name. If you have a name that is difficult to spell, you
might wish to register several different "versions" of
your name. Some of our clients register domain names with common
misspellings to give their clients and prospects a better chance of
reaching their website in case they don't know the correct spelling.
For example, we have two domain names here at Advanced Access -
www.AdvancedAccess.com (the correct spelling,) and
www.AdvanceAccess.com (a common misspelling of our name) to
eliminate frustration for our own clients and prospects.
Additional domain names can be a
helpful tool to use in your traditional advertising. For example, if
you specialize in several different geographic areas, it might be to
your benefit to register additional domain names that reflect each
city and focus your advertising accordingly. No matter which
alternate domain name your client or prospect enters, they will
arrive at your primary website.
You can have as many domain names
pointing to your website as you desire. Some of our clients have as
many as one hundred domain "pointers." In order to
accomplish this; however, all of the domain names you wish to point
to your primary domain must be registered in your name and be
"parked" on our servers. Then we simply configure our
servers to "point" your second and subsequent domain names
to your primary website.
A lower price to point your
domain!
In an effort to provide you the best
service at the lowest possible cost, we've dropped the price of our
domain pointing service. You now have a choice whether to pay for
your domain pointing service as a one-time fee, or at a lower cost
annually. If you decide to pay for your domain pointing on a yearly
basis, the price is now $15.00 per year, per additional domain. If
you would prefer to pay a one-time fee for your domain pointing
service, the price is a $50.00. If you currently have additional
domain names pointed to your primary website, your next invoice will
reflect the change to $15.00 a year.
Protect Your Identity…
Whether your domain name is your own
name, or a catchy slogan -- whether you have one domain name or
hundreds, be sure to keep your domain name current, and don't let it
expire! For additional information about protecting your domain
name, click

Your domain name is your identity,
and it is extremely important to keep it safe and protected.
