Working with Your Header Manager
Your Header
Manager, which is located in the
Design
Center,
includes many different things you can use to enhance the visual
look of your website. The header manager
section allows you to add, edit, and create beautiful banners, enter
captions for your pages, and even create unique meta tags for each
specific page.
When you arrive
at the Header Manager main menu you have the option to view any
graphical headers that have been assigned to any of our standard
pages, or if you scroll down the page, you can see the headers
selected for your custom pages that you have created through the
Page Editor or our custom programs.
At the top of
the page you have the option to 'Create a Banner' using several
default templates. This program will allow you to easily create
distinctive and unique collages to enhance the top of your personal
pages. You also have the ability to view all of your 'Generated
Headers' and make changes and/or edits. All of your banners will
be located under the category of 'Header Banner' which will be
accessible through your File Library.
When you click
to edit a certain page in the Header Manager, you will be presented
with four different options. You can upload a new image to the file
library directly from your computer or select an image that is
already in the current file library. The images that you select will
automatically be added to the top of your page.
You also have
the ability to enter a caption for your page. In some of your
standard pages such as Free Reports or Local Partners, this is the
place where you have the ability to edit the text that is already
existing. This text box does accept HTML coding so you can enhance
your text using bold, italic, and font codes to name a few.
The last section
allows you to modify your meta text for that specific page. We
advise you only to modify this section if you have knowledge of
HTML. We have seen websites where the meta text was altered and it
erased the website from view or contained mysterious coding at the
top of your pages. You can easily alter your website look if you
forget a simple closing tag.
You will need to
enter the complete meta tags into the text box that appears to the
right hand side, as we show in the example we provided.
