Real Estate Websites by Advanced Access

In real estate it's all about "location, location, location.

Location is just as important on the Internet.  For that reason, it’s baffling to find so many real estate websites on the Internet today with a home page that says absolutely NOTHING about the area in which they specialize, where their office is located, or even the state they live in.

For many online consumers, search engines, and directories that visit your website, a physical address is absolutely essential to verify that you are indeed a viable business.  If there is no physical address on your website, additional investigation is needed to place your site in the proper county, locality, or ZIP code to effectively organize the search engine or directory.

It's one thing to make a search engine or directory hunt down where you work, (although it can be time consuming for the directory.)  It's quite another to cause a potential client who may have done business with you to become frustrated because they don’t know the area you serve.  For the online consumer, it's all about finding answers FAST.  Consumers go to the Internet to find information instantaneously. If the consumer can't find their answers within SECONDS on your homepage, they’re going to leave your website and go to another site that CAN serve their immediate needs.

That’s why you have to CLEARLY IDENTIFY what you do and where you work for your prospective client’s benefit!

Here are a few guidelines:

1) Put a physical address on your website. Most real estate professionals have an office where they do business. If you think you have a good reason for not placing a physical address on your website, think again. You can make it quite clear that your office address is your mailing address only, and that you sell real estate in many other areas.  If you work from home and don't have an office, get a P.O. Box if you are concerned about posting your home address on the Internet.

2)  Put your primary areas of business in a visible area when consumers first visit your website.  Here are a few examples of some good identifying home page text:

Tucson Real Estate - Specializing in Representing Buyers and Sellers in the Tucson Area

Omaha's Most Powerful Real Estate Search Ever - Omaha Area Real Estate

North Orange County Real Estate, Anaheim - Yorba Linda - Tustin - Luxury homes for sale & more. Working smarter to save you time... We Specialize in Relocation & Busy Professionals.

The text examples above not only target your audience, they also clearly identify for the consumer the AREA you specialize in so they know they’ve found the right website.

To be sure that search engines can find your areas of business efficiently, your identifying text should be in text form and not an image.  To be sure the directories will be able to find your location text, go to your homepage and press the CTRL + F keys. This will bring up the 'Find' tool. Type in your city or state to be sure you can find it on the homepage. If you can't, this would be a good indication that search engines will not able to find your keywords on your homepage either.

Be sure that your target market can find YOUR online location quickly and easily for maximum effectiveness!

"Scott was absolutely incredible. I had created a mess trying to insert a virtual salesperson code into our home page. He fixed the issue, then added the VSP codes in their respective pages and made adjustments so everything looked great. He was friendly, patient and professional. We have always felt that Adv Access provides superior tech support, but Scott exceeded our already high expectations. Many thanks!"
