Powerful Lead Generation Tools

Several months ago we had a Marketing Tip about a pop-up Guestbook that would automatically appear when a consumer visits your website. These forms are successful because you are inviting the consumer to contact you in an easy, non-threatening manner. A simple form pops up, the consumer types in their information, and they hit 'Send'! The form is then sent to your e-mail box and you have all the information you need to follow up with a prospective client. Very simple and easy!

Why are these types of forms so effective? As opposed to an e-mail link, specific forms for prospective clients to fill out are a powerful interactive tool. When you invite people to 'e-mail' you, essentially you are placing a blank piece of paper in front of your prospects. Sometimes people aren't certain how to outline their requestConsumers don't always KNOW what they want; however, they're usually willing to "sign in" on a friendly guestbook, or fill out an easy form. Using these types of tools, consumers are usually willing to fill out a form rather than trying to "compose" an e-mail.

So, instead of handing your prospects a "blank piece of paper," think about having all forms of communication on your website flow over to your contact form.

Another great way of encouraging more prospective clients to contact you is by placing a 'How Did You Hear About Us' form on the front of your website. Follow-up

Most importantly, when you receive a new lead, treat it with the respect it deserves. Make sure you are following up promptly on each new lead you receive. At a minimum, the prospective client should receive acknowledgement of their submission and you should start up a relationship ASAP! Professionalism is the key to successful relationships, whether by phone or e-mail.
