Generate Repeat Visitors with a 'New Listing Alert' We love to share Client Success Stories with our customers, because you never know when someone else's winning marketing idea will be just right for YOU. One of our valued clients, Brent DeWitt and Michele Michaels from Lake Havasu, Arizona, have created a special report that makes their website visitors want to return again and again for the latest information. They developed a special e-mail auto-responder (using our auto-responder program in the virtual office) dedicated to a weekly list of new homes for sale in their market. This dynamic marketing team started their new project on April 1, 2002 (just six weeks ago) and already they're seeing some action. THEIR RESULTS: Michele Michaels says that they have 'made one sale so far, and are working with two buyers currently as a result'. How do they do it? Each week Michele will search and find new listings in a one-line spreadsheet format and save them to her WordPad program. She will open up WordPad and 'edit like crazy' for about 20 minutes. She notates the MLS number, price, address, bed, bath, garage, and pool. This list looks something like this: Mls # Price
Address Bed/Ba/Gar Pool When editing her list, Michele is very careful to keep it to a 1,000 character limit. She then goes into her Virtual Office, clicks on the E-mail Forwarding section, and sets up e-mail forwarding with a special auto-responder called newlistings@brentandmichele.com. (In our auto-responder program, you cannot have an e-mail that contains more than 1,000 characters!) HOW DO THEY ADVERTISE? Michele says, 'I'm using a 1/4 page in

With Addresses and Descriptions. Ad has worked great...got quite a
few compliments from past clients who like to see what's happening in
the local market. Had about a dozen How is their ad structured? Here's a brief preview of what they have put together: On the top left hand corner, you can see they advertised 'This Week's New Listings' and have an e-mail address at which consumers can contact them. They will immediately receive an e-mail detailing the new listings on the market. As you can see, their ad focuses on all the NEW content they specifically generated themselves using their Free Reports, Community Info, and E-mail Forwarding programs from Advanced Access. As local experts, Brent and Michele KNOW their area... and it is obvious on their website! Michele also said they 'noticed a bunch of Free Reports went out right after the ad hit the streets. Name of the game is no longer Promote Your Site; it is Promote Your Site & Content!' Michele & Brent also sent out a Press Release regarding their website and all their site awards. It hit all the local newspapers and generated many requests for free reports and new listings! Link Popularity Update HomeResearcher.com is a wonderful website designed with the sole purpose of providing a "one-stop-shop" for people looking for information and resources dealing specifically with real estate. They also have a section to add your website link to their site for free! Here's how to get started: Fill out the form to start your account. Once you have opened your account, you will need to click on 'Add a Link'. They then require you to fill out another form to add your link to their website. The form is a bit confusing because you have to keep 'Selecting a Category' multiple times to get your website in the right directory. You will notice that the page will 'refresh' each time you select something in the pull down menu. =) Go slow and make sure you are filling out the form correctly until it will say 'No more categories to choose from'. Once you have filled out the form, click on 'Submit Link'. Your website will then be carefully reviewed and you will be notified within a day if your website is included. Once your website is included, you can improve your ranking by linking YOUR website to HomeResearcher.
