Lose the Act – Gain the Client
August 21st, 2006 by AnnaFrom time to time we invite a guest author to contribute to our Weekly Marketing Tips. Michael Katz, Founder and Chief Penguin of Blue Penguin Development, Inc, has become one of my personal favorites. His area of expertise is writing newsletters and training yourself to really reach your target audience…and figuring out who your target audience is if you’re not quite that far along yet. While his newsletters are geared toward newsletter writing, he does say so many things that also speak directly to those who have websites and are writing text for that very similar medium. His perspective is fresh and each edition of his newsletter has something to make you laugh. His is one publication that never gets deleted from my inbox without being read, and I always have time to read it because he has a way of moving you along through his text in a flash.
The “Chief Penguin” offered some insight regarding productive client interaction this week. He talks about how to be the “you” that your clients really want to work with. I think we would all appreciate this compliment, “I’m glad to see you’re exactly the same in person as you are on your web site.” – Read Michael’s article in our most recent Marketing Tip (Lose the Act – Gain the Client) for more.
