Created back in March of 2006, Twitter got a bit of a slow start as far as internet fads go. That’s all starting to change for the little-known social site, with more twitterers joining each day and sharing information with the masses.

So what is Twitter you ask? It’s a free flowing real-time social messaging community. Sign up for a free account and you can immediately begin “following” other twitterers who are of interest to you.

Who might that be? You can twitter with anyone. Friends, colleagues and potential clients alike can be instantly updated or responded to in an easy to use message board setting. Personally, I use it to stay on top of what other people in my industry are up to, sharing tips and articles that apply to what we do.

Take a minute to check Twitter out, there is something there for everyone.
