This is the time of the year in which various website recognition and award programs begin to ask for submissions, and we wanted to call you attention to two of these kinds of programs. They’re good for a number of reasons – but mostly because it’s always healthy and productive to see what other professionals think about your website, the features it offers, and how it appeals to those potential clients who may happen to find it on the Internet.
Web Marketing Association’s WebAwards
Brought to you by the Web Marketing Association, the WebAwards are a yearly competition that names the best websites in nearly one hundred different categories. The “Best” websites are reviewed and determined by a panel of judges who look at several elements of the entry site, including website design, ease-of-use, copywriting, user interaction, technology, innovation and overall content value.
One of their most popular and sought out categories each year is the Best Real Estate web site award. Many REALTORS® and Brokers alike enter the contest with the hopes of gaining and impressing clients, displaying the value of their website to the general public, and some simply to receive the valuable feedback that is provided to all who enter. If your website is not chosen for the Best Real Estate Website category, you are still eligible for other general awards.
There is a small cost to enter this competition, submissions can be made for $195 for each site; $99 for those non-profit agencies. After May 31st, an additional $50 fee is required. Judging is going to be held from June15th through the end of August, with the winners announced in September of 2008!

6th Annual Advanced Access “Most Impressive” Website Contest
This highly anticipated and annual contest has become one of the most exciting events anywhere in the industry today…and its FREE to all current Advanced Access clients! Hundreds of Advanced Access websites will be nominated over a two-month period by you – our valued clients, then scored and reviewed by our panel of judges. The winners are announced in each category and then YOU vote for your favorites that best represent the levels of excellence that is Advanced Access.
There are four main categories – The Most Impressive Website; Rookie of the Year; Most Impressive Content, and Best Use of an Advanced Access Feature.
After the winners are chosen they are then announced and featured in a variety of promotional vehicles including our Advanced Access Monthly e-Newsletter, our Weekly Marketing Tips, and also placed on our Advanced Access website.
