Social media is always good But now you can help “pay it forward” with Techipedia and Sears.

Social Media guru and blogger extrodinare, Tamar Weinberg over at Techipedia is involved in a Sears blogger outreach event and she decided a wish granting contest was in order. Sears gave her a $500 shopping spree, which she spent on toys for cancer stricken children. She would like to pay it forward by granting the wish of you or someone you know. All you need to do is leave a comment on the Techipedia blog post here: http://www.techipedia.com/2008/blogger-outreach-sears-style/ indicating your favorite prize package. Then you will be entered in the contest. Read Tamar’s post at Techipedia for the prize package info!

This is a great example of how you can use your blog to get involved with the community. Anything you can do like this is great for your reputation and, of course, good for business. 

So go comment on Techipedia to enter the contest, then think of additional ways you can use social media in your own business and community to do something good, and generate leads!
