Looking Good for the Holidays
December 17th, 2008 by AnnaIt’s December 17th.
I can’t believe it is already December 17th!
The Holiday Season is upon us, and we are getting ready for another new year. No matter how many years in a row I say this, I just can believe how quickly time seems to fly by.
I am sure many of you have the same feeling about your year. With all the major events in the world and in our nation with an election and a rough economy, I am sure there is a lot of reflection going on. Thinking about all of this can seem “heavy” and I am going to (as usual) try and turn that around into a way you can make your website better. Are you surprised? I didn’t think so.
So, do you know what’s great about reflecting on things? You learn something! You also can make changes that improve your health, business, and life in general when you give everything a good hard look. Since we are in business together (trying to make the most of your online presence) I want to give you some simple things to reflect on to improve your real estate website. Get those New Year’s Resolutions ready!
Don’t worry, I know it’s the holidays, so we’re only going to look at one thing today, then you’ll have 2 weeks off, and we’ll tackle more in the new year. Today I want you to consider updating the look of your website.
With much ability to customize your website comes great responsibility!
Your Advanced Access real estate website is completely customizable. You can change any number of our templates to use your preferred images, text, and color schemes. You can even bypass the template altogether and create your own custom design. You can add unlimited content and photos in any layout you choose.
Think of your website like a house you want to sell. It needs to be staged properly in order to get the desired response. So even though you can make your website neon pink and green, it’s probably not the best idea.
Ask yourself these “reflection” questions:
Is my template choice appealing to my target audience?
Do I use too many images or slideshows which could slow down the load time?
Is my text easy to read on my background color or does it make my eyes water?
Quick and easy changes can make a big difference. Spend a few minutes on this before the holidays.
A Quick Reminder we will be closed Christmas Day and New Years Day.
We will also be taking a break the next two weeks for Marketing Tips, but I will still be posting to the blog, so check in when you have time, and have a safe and happy Holiday Season!
