Tips on Real Estate Web Design, Marketing, and Search Engines

I am honored to have an Advanced Access blog post be part of Techipedia’s “Best Internet Marketing Posts of 2008” list which was posted earlier today. This “Best of” list is Tamar Weinberg’s annual collection of posts covering several categories of internet marketing. We even got a shiny badge for our blog; if you act now, it will be viewable on your right. If you wait, you will have to scroll up or click to visit our homepage as new and wonderous posts will have filled our blog since I’ve written this. ;)

The Secret to Compelling Content, was listed first under the Content Development category. This means several people have visited our blog and read this content-preaching post. Of course, you have already read this post and implemented all its goodness on your site…

*crickets chirp*

*gee, there are a lot of crickets in here*

Seriously, if you haven’t had a chance to dig in to your content development and the marketing of your real estate website, please re-read my post and then head over to Techipedia to learn more about internet marketing than you ever thought possible!

  1. Hey Anna,

did you have any luck with the tweetback script from Dan Zarella? I host a wordpress blog also and can’t get it to work. I’m no coder so I suspect I don’t know enough, any thoughts?

  2. I am testing a theory right now… there are double quotes on the URL. But I copied direct from his site. So maybe there is something that adds quotes on URL’s in a plugin or template thing I have. I’ll keep you posted.

  3. Yep the double quotes did it. Check your code because there are “slanted” quotes in the original code I copied, so WP added the straight ones. But still working on getting more than just the # of tweetbacks and actually getting the tweets on here, and on the single post page.

  4. Ok, so check your quotes… that’s the key. And you need the script on the main index template and on the single post page.

I think it will take time for everything to show up because of the crazy attention tweetbacks are getting today.

  7. Since AA is patting themselves on the back for winning a blogging award, why is it that AA can’t help its out customers when it comes to blogging??!?!?!? Why can’t we have a place to blog right on our site???? Doesn’t seem like a big deal to create that feature for us. Plus it would really help our sites in the rankings. The only way to have a blog on your page now is simply by framing it from another site. So 1990’s! AA, you have made all these new changes, but what changes have you really made when it comes to layouts and blogging for your clients? NONE!

  8. Hi Kim, thank you for your comments. You can actually have us create a record on your domain name, such as blog.kimsoper.com, to point to your existing blog. You can contact support to do this instead of having the blog framed on your site.
