Web Design (Flash and Custom Graphics Developer)

We are seeking an individual that is well-versed in the overview and development processes for graphic and flash design and animation. A fundamental understanding of the distinct needs in development of both web and print media is necessary.

Qualified candidates will have extensive knowledge of all Adobe CS2 Suite and Macromedia products, most importantly Flash Professional 8. Technical skills should include effortless development capabilities in HTML, CSS, and at minimum a working knowledge of XML. Candidate should be very comfortable with developing, modifying, and troubleshooting Flash action scripting.

An art degree or equivalent formal training are a definite plus. The ideal candidate will provide a portfolio of past works. A deep respect for the overall development process will be attributed to strict adherence to proposed timelines, while naturally exhibiting patience, close attention to detail, careful consideration of color, effect, and animation selection, while establishing the theme most appropriate to the era and/or genre depicted in any given project's description. When deadlines for completion of a project are not provided, the individual is expected to formulate a clear and concise timeline with the final expected completion date.

This position calls for someone who thrives on thinking "outside-of-the-box" when it is necessary to create something new, yet can dial down and complete tasks in the exact manner they are requested. The candidate welcomes new challenges, remaining readily and quickly adaptable to an ever-changing work environment as needed. Ability to collaborate on a team is a must, with an affinity for proposing concepts, while being open to other perspectives.
