Translation Please! The Internet is an amazing worldwide resource. Las week I was searching for information on the Internet and happened to click on a website that was written in Chinese! Although we understand that www stands for "worldwide web," it still surprises us when we run across websites from all over the world with different languages. Unfortunately, the Chinese site did not include a 'translation' link, (and I don't speak Chinese) so I had to move on to another website. How many clients do you work with for whom English is NOT their first language? How many do not speak English at all? If you're working with any clients who do not speak English, it would be in your best interests to offer a translation link on your website. Many of our clients have some fabulous translation pages that I would like to share with you. There are several programs available on the Internet that make it easy for your website visitors to translate information into their primary language. Mariela Gonzalez works in Florida where Spanish is commonly spoken. If you take a look at the home page of Maria's website, she has created a completely bi-lingual website for her clients and prospects. Most of the information is written in English and repeated in Spanish. RE/MAX F.H. Realty has a beautiful Deluxe website. Prominently displayed on their home page, RE/MAX F.H. Realty announces that they have 21 languages to serve you. They also offer a program created through SystranLinks that will literally translate the ENTIRE page of your site through their system. The system cannot translate the graphics, but all of the text is changed to the language you specify through this program. The system is unique and helpful to your online consumers.. Martin Luna is using a translation program through Altavista's Babel Fish. Altavista is in partnership with SysTran but they have a different method of viewing the translated document. Martin also has a customized Spanish page on his website that he created himself using Page Manager. All of the real estate professionals featured above have demonstrated their commitment to offering their real estate services to visitors all over the world. There are several companies that offer this type of product to translate your website.
