THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES for the use of new PAGE Manager. Many of our clients have requested the ability to include a monthly or quarterly NEWSLETTER in their site that is customizable - complete with images, enhanced text, hyperlinks, and more. NOW you can do that and MUCH MORE with PAGE Manager. IT'S HERE AND IT'S FREE! PAGE Manager is now available, and can be substituted for your existing "About Page" (or any other page) in your site at no charge with our compliments - simply e-mail your Account Executive to set it up for you, and we'll be glad to add it to your website. You can have MORE than one PAGE Manager in your Virtual Office if you desire. For example, if you would like to use PAGE Manager for your 'About Page,' and also add a customizable Newsletter, or 'Neighborhood News' with PAGE Manager, just let us know. After the first PAGE Manager is added, subsequent PAGE Manager accounts in the same website cost $50.00 per page (a one-time fee.) We wish you great success with the new PAGE Manager program.
1. Using "Cut" vs. "Delete" When deleting something from a document or in-progress e-mail message, never use "delete" to delete a segment of text. Instead, highlight the segment, then right click on the highlighted segment, and choose "Cut" instead of "Delete." Why? While "Cut" DOES delete the item, it also temporarily SAVES the item to your mouse (your clipboard). Thus, should you decide that you removed the segment in error, all is not lost. You simply place your cursor back where the item WAS, do a right-click, then click on "Paste" from the dropdown menu. The segment magically RE-appears where it was!! Or, you can put it anywhere else. 2. Best Search Engines to Use? Which Search Engines Deliver the Best Results: Today, there are primarily two types of search
engines: So, to find companies, use www.goto.com To find information, use www.google.com 3. Avoiding Losing Partially-Completed e-mail Messages Ever get mostly done with an e-mail message only to have your e-mail program, or entire computer, freeze up? You try everything, but finally you see that nothing is going to let you finish that e-mail. You'll have to start all over, trying to recall perhaps several pages. There's a better way. Anytime you see that your e-mail message is exceeding 500 words, STOP! Highlight and copy what you've done so far and then open a Word document. Give it a name, then SAVE it to a new folder called "DeleteSoon." Then, paste what you've written so far on the e-mail into the Word doc. When you finish writing the rest of that message, go back and delete the portion that you left in your uncompleted e-mail box. Then paste in the entire contents of your Word doc. Why? Because you can periodically SAVE what you're
typing in your Word doc as you go along so that it will not be lost. Also, word processing programs are hugely more stable and less likely to crash than fickle e-mail programs. Follow these simple steps and you will rarely be frustrated again by losing data to frozen e-mail programs. Have YOU got a great computer or Internet tip for Realtors®? If so, please e-mail it to us. If we just love it and you've written it clearly and concisely, we'll likely run it in this newsletter.
