Check out these NEW Features in our ListNOW Program!

                

Are you using your ListNOW Listing Management System to its best advantage? In an effort to continually improve our services to our valued clients, we have added some new features to our ListNOW Listing Management System.

Guestbook Preferences

You are now able to activate your Guestbook in two different ways through your ListNOW system. Your Guestbook can be a required sign-in page:

- Before viewing all Listings, or
- Before viewing the Listing Detail page

Offering a required Guestbook before viewing the listing detail is our latest addition. When you use a "hook" or a "teaser" - showing a small amount of information about your listing to get people interested - it can be a powerful incentive for visitors to SIGN your guestbook prior to finding out MORE details about the property.

We highly recommend using this option set up through your ListNOW database. Offering listing data viewable through your website is very important, as it provides the latest updated property information to your consumers.  The Guestbook has been created with a special programming interface so your consumer will only need to fill out the form once to view all of your properties.

Custom Feature Bullet Points

For your convenience, we have added different 'Standard Features' to our list of property amenities, as well as creating 8 different 'Custom Feature' bullet point fields where you can add in your own text!

Please remember you also have the entire area of your 'Listing Text' to input in a complete property description! The 'Custom Feature' bullet points are located in different areas of the listing templates, but usually located BELOW the 'Listing Text' field.

Change the Order of your Additional Photos

If you enjoy displaying additional photos in your property listing section, you are in luck! We have added a 'Change Order' section, so you may quickly and easily specify the order in which your photos are displayed.

Changes to Templates and MORE...

We have added in a 'Community' template on popular demand. This template will allow you to be generic in your advertisements for homes in a particular community.

The best things in life are FREE, and so are the ListNOW upgrades described above. In fact, they have already been added to your Virtual Office program. Please be on the lookout for MORE changes and improvements to our ListNOW program that will be completed in the next couple of weeks. Some of our best upgrades have been at the suggestion of our valued clients, and we make every attempt to accommodate your requests.

ADVANCED ACCESS Sales Team Exhibits at NAR

ADVANCED ACCESS' Sales Representatives just returned from beautiful city of Chicago where we exhibited our products and services at the National Association of REALTORS® Convention November 2-5.

The highlight of the convention was talking to our customers from across the country. Many of you are "old friends" who we've known for years, and others are new clients and friends. We appreciate all of our valued clients who took the time to stop by and say hello to us during your busy convention schedules.

Jody Lane, a Columnist for RealtyTimes Agent News, presents an interesting perspective on the Trade show at NAR this year. Although there were fewer vendors exhibiting this year, he felt it made for a better atmosphere. Click here to read his article.

Much Ado about IDX

An often-discussed subject at the NAR convention, many of our clients are asking us "What IS IDX, and how does it affect my individual website?"

IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange, a guideline suggested by the NAR for MLS organizations to enable participating brokers to publish multiple listing service (MLS) listings for consumer viewing on their company and privately owned websites.
NAR has mandated that every Board make available their MLS property listings to Brokers/Realtors' web sites by January 1, 2002.

Here's how it works: Your MLS Service Provider will send all the property information to an FTP (file transfer protocol.) The Board of Realtors (MLS Committee) then selects an "IDX Mapping Solution" provider to take that information from the FTP and place it on your website. The two most popular solutions for providing the data to your website are data download and smart framing.

Important Note: Each MLS Service Provider can choose the method by which they provide this information for your website. However, to comply with NAR's mandate they must provide you the information in some form by the deadline date.

Sounds confusing? You're not alone. As this is a fairly new regulation, we're all learning more every day about how our clients can implement IDX. To find out more about how YOUR specific MLS is going to handle IDX, please contact them directly. Many MLS systems are already in compliance with NAR's mandate - others are still working on their system. Your Account Executive will be happy to work with you to implement the property listings on your website once we have specific information.
