October 2001 Newsletter

ADVANCED ACCESS has MOVED UP (to the 3rd Floor)

The Lobby Area in our New Office

To better serve our growing number of valued clients, effective October 8th, 2001 we moved our headquarters to the third floor in the same building in Anaheim Hills, California. Please make a note of our new Suite number for your records: 8101 East Kaiser Blvd., Suite 300 - Anaheim, CA 92808. Our phone numbers are the same - 714-685-5120 or Toll Free 888-902-4653.

Our new facility is nearly three times larger than our previous office - including nearly 22,000 square feet to accommodate our employees and our hands-on training room. Occupying the entire third floor, we will now have room to SPREAD OUT for the new Account Executives we hire on a regular basis. Our Account Executive network ensures you will receive excellent service and a quick response time, as each one of our team members has only a limited number of customers with whom they are working at any time.

We couldn't have made this giant step forward without the loyalty and support of our valued clients, and we sincerely appreciate your patience with us during the move on Friday, October 5th. Thanks for your business.

What to Do in a Changing Real Estate Market?

A frequent contributor to RealtyTimes.com Agent News, and one of ADVANCED ACCESS' valued clients, has some important advice about how to be a leader in the industry in these changing times. Although the events of September 11th have changed our lives forever, all real estate professionals need to be leaders and do what is best for your buyers and sellers.

Along with re-qualifying your buyers, educating your sellers, and leading the market, Patti says the bottom line is, "When you keep both your buyers and sellers informed on what you believe is happening in the marketplace and back it up with facts from the MLS, everyone wins. Your seller will be more inclined to price their property correctly and the buyers will want to purchase sooner than later. It's a great business-real estate is a sound investment for now and for the future. "

Interesting Facts about the Origin of HALLOWEEN

Ghosts, witches, jack-o-lanterns, black cats, and skeletons are all symbols of the holiday known as Halloween. Celebrated in the United States on October 31, it has become a festival where children dress in costumes and visit neighbors to ask for treats.

The origin of Halloween can be traced back to the ancient Celts who inhabited parts of France and Ireland more than 2,000 years ago. At the end of the summer these people honored Samhain, who was the lord of the dead. On this day, the high priests of the Celts, or Druids, ordered the people to put out their hearth fires. The Druids then built a huge new bonfire that was considered sacred. Into this new fire they threw crops, animals, and even human sacrifices. Then each family relit its hearth fire from the new year's fire. It was believed that Samhain allowed the souls of the dead to return to roam the earth on this night.

Many customs of the Celts survived after they became Christians. In 800 A.D. the Roman Catholic church established All Saints' Day on November 1 to honor dead saints. The mass said on this day was called All Hallows and the evening before was called All Hallows' Eve - or Halloween. The people made the old pagan customs part of the new Christian holy day.
