March 2002 Newsletter "to be a fool while
Spring is in the world - my blood approves" Success Story - AA Client Susan Youngblood Every week your Account Executive sends you a "Marketing Tip," designed to give you ideas on how to maximize the success of your website. Many of our clients have found that reading our Marketing Tips and putting them to good use yields more exposure on the Internet. Recently we featured the Market Conditions Report™ from RealtyTimes in our weekly e-mail. Susan Youngblood, one of our valued clients, has found a way to get more leads and visitors to her website by posting her opinion of the market on Market Conditions Report™. The next day after posting her first "report" online, Susan had an inquiry from a buyer/investor who lives in California. He found her report on MSN HomeAdvisor, and told her he liked what she had written and appreciated that she e-mailed him back right away. Because she responded to his request quickly, he is now going to Austin to look at condominium investments this week. For additional information about Market Conditions Report™ click here. Congratulations to Susan on her marketing success!
Major Power Outage at AA Headquarters
On Thursday, March 14 at 12:30 pm Pacific Time, ADVANCED ACCESS experienced a major power outage throughout the entire city block, caused by cable problems on the main power line. The City of Anaheim was able to repair the blown transformer, restoring power back to all of the surrounding area, with the exception of OUR building. ADVANCED ACCESS has an extensive battery back-up system that kept your websites up and running for a period of time. However, when it became clear that our power was not going to be restored any time "soon," our server administrators had to power the servers down, which kept your data from being lost. That's when our dedicated team sprung into action: Our Programmers (Scott Johnson, Justin LaJoie, Zac Olsen, and Jonathan Mabe) our Customer Service Manager, Chris Clelland, and Director of Operations, Justin Davis, set up several high-powered gas generators on the ground floor next to the stairwell. Using several LONG extension cords, they hooked up our servers (on the third floor) to the generators on the ground, successfully restoring your websites later on that afternoon. All throughout the night, our team members took "shifts" and refueled the generators 3-4 times to keep your sites up and running until the utility company restored the power at 5 am the next morning. When the power went out, four of our employees happened to be coming back from lunch in the elevator, and were "stuck" for nearly an hour. Several of our team tried to bolster spirits by talking, singing and joking with the stuck employees until the Fire Department and maintenance crew rescued them by lowering the elevator down to the first floor manually. Just "another day at the office" for your friends at ADVANCED ACCESS. :-)
Create Your Own FREE Third Level Domain Names Example: Properties.JohnforRealEstate.com A domain name is your unique identity on the Internet. The name secures visibility, name association and name recognition for you and your real estate business. Below is a brief explanation of the "levels" of domain names: Top Level Domain Name: A top level domain name (TLD) is the three character suffix of the URL, which is separated by a dot. There are currently several TLD names that are commonly available for registration, such as .com, .net, .org, .biz, and more. Second Level Domain Name: The second level domain name appears immediately to the left of the extension name and is separated by a dot, e.g. "JohnforRealEstate," as in www.JohnforRealEstate.com, is the second level domain name. Third Level Domain Name: The third level domain name (also called a sub domain name), appears immediately to the left of the second level domain name and is separated by a dot, e.g. "properties," as in properties.JohnforRealEstate.com, is the third level domain, or sub domain, name. Why would I want a Third Level Domain Name? It is easier and saves your clients time searching through your website if you can give them a "direct" link to a specific section, such as Featured Properties, for example. If you are advertising your listings, you can set up a direct link for the consumer to find your featured properties, and include it in your traditional marketing. Any of the sections in your website can be assigned third level domain names. For additional information about third level domain names, please contact your Account Executive.
Happy Easter and a Joyous Passover to our Valued Clients The ADVANCED ACCESS offices will be closed on Friday, March 29 to commemorate the Easter/Passover holiday.
Easter is rabbits and colored eggs and fancy dresses, but to Christians around the world it is much more. Easter is the most important Christian holiday of the year. The resurrection, as described in the Bible, means that just as Jesus rose from the grave, Christians also can receive new life after death. The Easter holiday celebrates this belief.
Passover is the holiday of springtime, joy and renewal. Also known as the "holiday of freedom," Passover commemorates the Jewish Exodus from Egypt following 210 years of slavery. Passover is regarded as the official "birth" of the Jewish nation, and its lessons of struggle and identity continue to form the basis of Jewish consciousness 3,300 years after the event.
