Wedding Bells Are Ringing!
We are delighted to announce the following wedding plans for the month of February as some of our valued employees 'tie the knot'!
Angela Cortez & Ed Carpio
Angela Cortez is our New Accounts Specialist Manager. She and Ed said "I Do" on February 10th in Orange, California in the presence of family and friends. "We have a HUGE wedding party! Besides our 11 pairs of sponsors/godparents, Ed has 2 best men, I have a maid and a matron of honor, and we have 14 pairs of bridesmaids and groomsmen, 3 junior bridesmaids, 5 flower girls, and one ring bearer." Angela remarked that this is very typical for a traditional Filipino wedding ceremony.
Angela and Ed were introduced in 2002, and began dating on Valentine's Day in 2004. Their first date was spent at Angela's favorite place: the pier in Huntington Beach. "Ed took me back to the same spot to propose to me back in December 2005. I was irritated because it was so cold and I wanted to go home since it was about 9:30 pm, but Ed had other plans. Needless to say, I’m glad we didn’t rush back home!"
They are very excited that they just purchased their first condo together, and Angela jokes, "we are now officially in the biggest debt of our lives!"
Angela and Ed will honeymoon in Maui and Oahu, and they plan on celebrating their first wedding anniversary when they go to Tahiti and Samoa in 2008 for a Polynesian dance competition in which Angela will be participating.
Maria Valderrama & Jason Spence
Maria Valderrama is our Sales Administration Manager and Jason Spence is a Senior Designer here at Advanced Access. Maria and Jason will exchange vows on February 17th in Alta Loma, California.
The happy couple met three years ago right here at Advanced Access
headquarters when Maria spilled Jason's coffee on him when he ran into her in
the hallway!
Maria shared her thoughts on their relationship and upcoming marriage, "He loves
to surf and I’m not a big fan of being in the ocean. I’m a homebody, and
he prefers to be out and about. He’s spontaneous and I’m organized.
I’m by the book and he’s very creative. He’s a lot of things that I’m not
and vice versa, yet we truly are the best of friends and more! We are
perfect for each other in every way there is and we, along with our families and
friends, couldn’t be any happier or any more excited for what’s on the road
ahead of us."
